Depth & complexity book study
Our Gifted Teacher and I led an in-depth Book Study with our staff to support our school's CIP Goal. The book we studied was, "Gifted Guild's Guide to Depth and Complexity: Finding Your Way Through the Framework," by Ian Byrd and Lisa Van Gemert.
We provided interactive professional development during our staff meetings, alongside Canvas course modules with resources and discussion questions. We continued to support the implementation of the learning by attending CLTs, co-planning, co-teaching, and modeling lessons with teachers.
It was exciting to see the culture of inquiry, deeper more complex questions, and the use of thinking tools grow throughout the school!
We're very excited that one of the authors (Lisa Van Gemert) will be visiting our district next year!
